Have the lab determine “remaining oil life.”. Mobil 1 5W-30 is too thin. That’s not just my opinion, it’s also BMW’s opinion. The only Mobil 1 oil that’s ever been on the approved oil list WAS 0W-40. Mobil changed this oil so it’s no longer on the approved oil list. I run LiquiMoly oil in my M240i.
