Yamaha MT-09. Yamaha MT-09 is a street bike which is expected to launch in India in February 2024 in the expected price range of Rs. 11,50,000 - Rs. 12,00,000 in India. It will be available in 1 variant. It will be powered by a 890 cc BS6 Phase 2 engine. It will come with both front and rear disc brakes.
MT-09 vs GSXR 750. I currently own a 21' MT-09 and a 15' R3, and ride predominantly on country roads and some highway. I like sitting on the R3 better as it seems more engaging to ride, but 40HP is not exhilarating to me. I love the brutal acceleration and torque the MT-09 brings. I've never ridden a GSXR 750, but the acceleration specs
I sat on both at the dealer last week and the FZ-07 just fits better. I'm 5'7" and 160" w/ a 29-30" inseam. The FZ-09 felt a bit wide mainly b/c of the tank and the wider sweep of the handlebars. I think the FZ-07 is slightly lower so I was able to get more of my feet on the ground on both sides.
And you can hoon on it just like the standard version. If you're set on the naked bike and hoon 50% of the time then get the mt10. It's a class motor and all round naked bike. The MT-10 is a more comfortable ride in my opinion, and way better for taking a passenger. MT09 + 1-up = MT10 as the joke goes.
My dealers in Sweden are selling the 2022 for 13.000 Euro and the 2023 for 15.000 Euro (both at 0 milage). I have seen that the updated MT07 gets a 5-inch display, I would love to see that on the MT09. (I'm a former Honda/Yamaha fan so would not like to change to the Monster SP 2023 that looks stunning (never ridden one though)). Except the price.
